11.1 Shopping List

Hmmm... another busy week. I didn't clear my box last week because there wasn't a lot there and of course now i've forgotten what was even supposed to be. Ok though, makes for a good surprise. For this week i'll def be buying:

EX MACHINA #24 (MR) - Allllwwaaays and forreeeeeveeerrr (you know the song damnit!).
EXTERMINATORS #11 (MR) - I'm not 100% sure why i am so into this book but... i def enjoy it :)
OTHER SIDE #2 (OF 5) (MR) - Here's another one of those books i meant to review but never got around to (and all of a sudden we're on #2). Great angle on what could have been a ho-hum vietnam story: telling it from both sides of the conflict. Plus i heard the writer took a trip to Vietnam to research... now that's dedication for a mini!
CRIMINAL #2 (MR) - The comics world is going to look back on Criminal in a few issues and proclaim it great. Trust me.
MOUSE GUARD #5 (OF 6)

Second that on Criminal. I think I would say the same for Cross Bronx. These two titles alone are enough to keep me happy all month.

I have to recommend you check out Midnighter #1. Fun issue and sets up a great story premise for issue #2. Though it might not work if you are completely new to The Authority (I've only read the first few trades (nothing recent)). Certainly being familar with the character helps you pick up the story. We have cool script from Ennis and imho his writing fits well with the Midnighter's penchant for violence.

I'm recently back reading after a 15 year comics hiatus.

Zilla is not my real name.

I'm from Tejas living in VA. I'm married w/ 2 dogs. I'm an IT security consultant cranking the wheel for a big consulting firm in "real" life.

I watch the History Channel, Nat'l Geo, TLC, Mil Channel, ESPN and NFL Network, CourtTV (forensic files, etc.) and the Cartoon Network (love Genndy T's Samurai Jack and Clone Wars Adventures). My taste in movies: Gladiator, Last Samurai, Braveheart, Godfather, Tarantino (whatever), Kung-Fu (whatever), Westerns, Top Gun, Big Lebowski.

I love the outdoors and bs'ing around w/ my dogs.

In addition to being a comics junkie, i'm also a sports junkie especially when it comes to the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.
